Owner, Designated Managing Broker
Hello, my name is Cathy, and I own Denbesten Real Estate in Bloomington, IL. Buying or selling a home can be very stressful, overwhelming, and likely the biggest financial event a person ever accomplishes. My goal as a real estate agent is to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Real estate has always been a part of my life. My father, Ray Denbesten, opened the doors of our real estate business in 1977. While I attended high school, he taught me bookkeeping for rental properties. The office side of things came easily to me; I enjoyed who I came in contact with, and helping people was a natural fit.
At Illinois State University, I earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education and a master’s degree in business administration. I enjoyed a short two-year teaching career at Bloomington High School.
Two years after graduation from ISU, I purchased my first investment property. By 2004, I had earned my real estate and managing broker licenses. With my father’s blessing, I took over the family business.
Since then, my real estate brokers have provided personalized service to hundreds of clients. I have been elected to the Mid-Illinois Realtors® Association’s Board of Directors, chaired the Education Committee, and provided input on various professional committees at the local level. My involvement there has provided me with important insights about the Bloomington-Normal market. It is a great way to give back to my fellow Realtors® and worth working with them for our common goals.
Even though I love my job, my family always comes first. I have two wonderful daughters. I’m involved in organizations like 4-H, McLean County Young Life, and I make it a priority to stay active in my church.
If you’re looking for a dedicated and experienced real estate agent in the Bloomington-Normal area, I would be honored to assist you. Feel free to give me a call at (309) 662-5252 or email me to get to know each other.
Let’s work together to make your real estate goals a reality!
